Counseling
Mark is a training Marriage and Family Therapist though the University of Houston Clear Lake. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor status with the State of Texas. He also received his certification as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) through the Internation Employee Assistance Professional Association and his Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) through the Department of Transportation. Mark specializes in working with aviation professionals licensed and having received their medical certificates through the FAA with his SAP.
Mark began his counseling career in 1987 at West Oaks Hospital in Houston, Texas. Since then, he has worked at a residential treatment program for children, adolescents, and young adults as well as different EAP Programs in the medical, oil & gas, and aviation fields. He has had a private practice and consulting practice since 1997.
He has assisted individuals with a variety of challenges and disorders. Mark has focused on relationship challenges as well as communication, anxiety, grief and loss, depression, and substance use problems.
Mark adheres to the ethics and legal obligation to confidentiality of a licensed mental health professional in the State of Texas. He lives by his core values of confidentiality, inclusiveness, nonjudgmental, caring and integrity.
